Fisky, do you really think there isn't public health messaging and lots of pressure from doctors to patients to control weight?
It's very hard to get sedentary people to maintain a healthy weight.
If you are healthy and suffer a minor COVID infection, you can still pass the disease onto someone who 1) is vaccinated but has low immunity (vaccines aren't perfect!) and 2) someone who can't get vaccinated for medical reasons.
There is extremely minimal risk of delayed toxicity from the vaccines given their sterling safety profile today. There is obvious risk of either getting symptomatic COVID and suffering (healthy people still do!) OR spreading to some more vulnerable and causing GREAT suffering.
There is an altruism component to this!
