Obviously the shoes give you know magic power, but what if the provide elite marathoners with less than 1 minute of improvement(many are claiming 2-4 minutes). Could the data be wrong because of amateur runner's. One of the major affecta of the shoes is decreased leg fatigue, pro marathoners run 100mpw+ the can handle leg fatigue way better. The numbers also could be messed with just to sell shoes.
After the shoes kipchoge ran like a minute and 25 sec faster, but half of that improvement is probably due to pacing the race better, and pushing himself to his absolute limits.
There may not have been much shoe improvements since the late 90's, but compare a shoe in the late 90's to the 1950's the improvement is likely similar.
Why are they now calling these shoes super/cheater shoes?
