My point was that Rowling is on the Left, not the Right, but you still don’t seem to get that. I live in Manhattan, a Leftist stronghold, and see other fractures in the Left. For example, feminists are very opposed to surrogate motherhood where women are paid to incubate babies for men “married” to men. Not all opposition to transgenderism is “stunts by the right.”
I think dividing the population into Left and Right probably isn't helpful. Yes technically everyone is one or the other but there's nothing strongly left-wing about Rowling. She's got much more in common with center-right than radical left. Maybe 10 years ago she would have been the most left-wing celebrity around but this only goes to show how suppressed the actual Left have been.
