I’m a D3 female runner and over this year I’ve upped my mileage from 40-45 miles a week to 55-60 miles a week. In February I started getting in 2-3 quality workouts a week. At first I was feeling pretty good, and I’ve maintained this mileage for a few months without any injuries or anything.
Unfortunately now I feel generally fatigued and dead on easy runs, I’m running ok but not super strong in workouts with a few bonks, and just generally not running as fast as I anticipated. I’ve also lost about 15 lbs in the past year, from a BMI of high 20 to low 19, not interested in losing more and I still get my period so I’m not worried about RED-S, but I’m also not seeing any of the improvement that the weight loss would suggest. Is this a plateau I’m going to bust through, or should I back off?
