I've had a bakers cyst on and off for a few years (around 4). It hasn't been persistent that whole time but doing certain hamstring heavy exercises seems to always bring it back. Specifically freestyle swimming (the kick portion) and hiking with a majority up steep inclines always seem to aggravate it. Running and cycling don't really seem to bother it.
I had an MRI a year or so ago with no structural defects found. Its never unmanageable, it just feels like there's more pressure behind my knee and sometimes associated with hamstring tightness. I went on a decent hike two weeks ago (3000 ft elevation gain) and that seemed to aggravate it again. I've been doing my best to roll my hamstring and ice my knee. Any other suggestions?
