"I can't make that out."
What a joke. He doesn't want to admit it. I can hear it, and I'm listening to a recording of the courtroom proceedings.
He ate too many of something, but I can't tell what.
Sounds like a man who can’t breathe to me. I can understand it sounding a bit like the first part, but I definitely don’t hear him enunciate a “Druh” sound or a “-g” at the end of his last word. It’s effectively gibberish, which is understandable since he can’t breathe.
Why is this a bombshell?

Because the defense theory is thatFloyd ODed.
If the officer believes he said he ate too many drugs, why aren't they treating him? Instead of dragging him out of the car and taking him to the ground?

Exactly. He could be 10 minutes away from death by overdose and if the officer shoots him in the head (or strangles him) it's murder.

Calling people names takes a big man. It shows character!!!
Well certainly if Floyd told them that he ate too many drugs then the most prudent course of action was to kneel on his neck for nine minutes, event after he passed out.
You read my mind, if they knew he was on too many drugs then you'd do the opposite of what we saw.
Once a cop engages a person he is now in charge of that person, will he arrest him, let him go, just a talk? In this case is was a knee to the neck.
Chauvin has no cops standing up for him, they see it like we all do, this was murder.

There is one autopsy that matters, and it certainly does not “disprove” that Floyd died of a fent overdose. It’s not even capable of disproving such a thing.
Anyway, the question was “why is this a bombshell?” You appear to be aware why it is.

Has there ever been a successful, "He would have died anyway" defense?
Sounds like a reasonable excuse to kill a man.

Maybe. I don’t know. But that’s not the defense or the argument here, and most posters, unlike you, are bright enough to understand that.
Based on his posts, I thought Douglas must have been referring to an Ethiopian female runner making an appearance at the trial.

Maybe the defense is trying to say that Floyd said that but none of the cops heard it.

I hope you know this comment was 100% sarcasm. Sarcasm can be hard to convey online but if you see my other posts I like making fun of people that actually talk like this :)
The irony of this comment is that there’s already been 2 autopsies disproving that he OD’d and ruled it a homicide so it’s funny when chauvin worshipers keep hammering the fact that Floyd overdosed and constantly drag on his character to make it look like he deserved it.
