how does such a week sounds to increase oxygen uptake/lt?
mo: 26 minute run (5 w/u 18 min 90%-92% max heart rate 5 c/d)
tue: 30 minutes 85% maxhr
wed: same as monday
thu:30 minues 75% maxhr
frid: same as monday
saturday:100 meter sprints(say 16 x 100 in 16 seconds) in a form of a fartlek
sunday: 30 minute run 75% maxhr
wouldnt those runs of 18 minutes at 10 to 5 k pace be a better vo2max workout then say 4 x 1 mile at 5k pace then?
ALso how will the lactic acid differ(would a 18 minute run produce a whole lot more lacic acid then an interval workout?) i mean as dangerous to latter workouts in a week.
I hate running slow.And i am not part of anny running system currenlty i do like to improve so all i ask is can i improve on such a schedule?Asyou see i cant run much miles at the moment.But as soon as my achilles tendons are adjusted to my insoles(could be half a year) i am thinking of doeing the same but in longer runs
