Talent is everywhere. Lucky to have a talented athlete come and want to train with me.
His weekly volume recently was 30 miles a week. Happy to chat about his journey and his training if there is any interest.

Avoid injury! What are you going to do with his mileage?
He needs to run more but staying healthy is the key. Most of his running is at threshold and 3k pace. Long run 9 miles when we can.
What has his mileage looked like over the last four years? How many races has he done? I'm bored and have a lot of questions. Do you have a 400m time for him or 1500m? That's interesting, has he not done any speedwork?
48.2 for 400m very little work at 800m pace. Most recent session 1k threshold +3×400 at 3k pace 3x400 at 1500m pace 4x200 at 800m race pace.

There are always missing details in stories like this. At my HS, there were freshmen that could have run 2:16 after only a couple of months of running that never broke 2:00. What was the background of your 1:49 guy?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
