Wouldn't this be a good race for him to run?
Wouldn't this be a good race for him to run?
It didn't cross my mind, but I completely agree. At the same time, was there a qualifying race and was the date of that race cooperative with his recovery?
I thinks he has a soccor game.
I'm not sure if there's a qualifying race, but the IAAF preview says runners from 45 countries will be there, so I'm sure he could've been fast enough to represent the US.
There really hasn't been much info on his injury, which occurred months ago. I remember reading that he recovered quickly, the training was going well, and he wanted to run a fall half marathon. Why not this one?
One would guess that the selection committee would want to see at the very least some sort of fitness test before putting him on the team ahead of runners that have more recently proven fitness and health. The guy hasn't run a race since early June, nor a race longer than 2 miles since March, nor a road race since January. Fortunately, the panel which decides on the criteria appears to be made up of pragmatic realists and not fawning fanboys.
Dumbest question today.
"I thinks he has a soccor game."
What the hell is soccor?
dumbsh!t.
Rumor has it that he is going to attempt a longer race this fall and is really fit right now but, of course, he would have to qualify for any type of world championship team.
