For years, the SI swimsuit issue has been ripped as the ultimate sign of racist, white male patriarchy in the US. Now when a black/Asian/transgender woman is featured in it, the New York Times is running a Q&A with her and asking her if she feels heroic
Are we finally nearing peak wokeness? When the feminist movement was gaining steam, we were told that gender was a social construct. Now we are told that one's gender identity - not their actual birth sex (and please don't use that term - it's better to "sex they were assigned at birth") - is heroic particularly if it involves people born with penises acting in stereotypically feminine ways.
Some really weird things are now conflicting with each other. And some of it makes no logical sense.
The 1976 men's Olympic decathlon champion is now a woman, Caitlyn Jenner. However, her sexual preference hasn't changed - she still likes to sleep with women - but she says she is 'heterosexual'. How can a woman sleep with other women and be heterosexual?
Contrast that with transathlete CeCe Telfer. Telfer, another transgender woman, won the 2019 NCAA DII 400-meter hurdles women's title. She however has let it be known that she prefers to sleep with men but only "straight" men. What straight man would want to sleep with someone who still has male genitalia?
When are the gay and lesbian activists as well as the feminists going to push back against this transgender craze. Transderism seems to be really quite bigoted if you think about it. It associates a certain way of acting with a certain sex.
