I am a big fan of Chase. I hope nothing but good things for him. I think he is humble not only loves but is good for the sport. 200th at his first NCAA xc is not bad I'd give him top 20 or 30 by his senior year.

20 or 30 based on what? He qualified by winning the horizon league champs which is one of the bottom end d1 conferences. I hope the best for him as well but I don’t think getting almost last at nats as a sophomore leads to top 30 as a senior.
In a normal year he doesn't come close to qualifying with regionals. He gets credit for executing but let's not get deluded to about how he made the race.
I am now the biggest Chase Easterling fan. Chase, if you read this, you the man dawg.

Easterling: based on his 4:20 which is equal to about 402 for 1500 m, he should be capable around 820 for 3000 m and 1430 for 5000 m and low 30 minutes for 10,000. His current best time for 3000 m and 5000 m are not in line with his mile time.
Go Easterling!
Pretty much solidly elite women’s times!
4:20 is equivalent to 8:40 and not 30 minutes in 99% of cases.
Everyone is gonna have to chase Easterling in two years. Man's on an upward trajectory for sure.
Totally believable. When I was in college I went out in 4:38ish also for the first mile at conference and was close to last. It was dumb.
was extremely confused why everyone is talking about a specific kid who i've never heard of. assumed he was a top D1 guy and i've just been out of the loop but doesn't seem to be the case. guess he has a following and his name is known just because he does youtube? seems like a pretty mediocre runner tbh but i can see why people are interested in watching. very modest PRs coming out of high school and seems to be progressing pretty well. he'll never contend for a title or anything like that right..but i bet he can be proof of a hard working average talent guy who is able to get some pretty nice collegiate PRs relative to the vast population
At Raleigh Relays last weekend he put down a 14:38 5k outdoors
I actually really like his YouTube channel, he seems like an earnest guy. He seems to be progressing really well in a small D1 running program
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
