That's incredible. Has anyone ever come anywhere close to that combo of jumps?

The nerds on TFN claim that this is the best ever LJ/HJ in a career, let alone in one day.
This is actually insane those are both world class times.
I though you had to be giant and lanky to jump that high, sacrificing all your runway speed for LJ. Dude is a freak of nature.

You seriously got to wonder if an NCAA hj champ can dunk a basketball?

Definitely. He jumped very fast - both high and long.

Dunno just high jump & long jump but I think Christian Olsson had the best combination of high jump, long jump, and triple jump ever. Olsson had high 7s for the long jump, but 2.28 for the high jump & 17.9 for triple!!
stefan holm's son melwin last year (aged 15) did 7.20, 2.17 and 14.49
He’s also been competing all year with an injured hamstring.
2.36m/8.44m. We may have ourselves one of the great ones at both events. He still has a ways to go in the long jump to compete with Echevarria and others but 8.44/8.45m is often good enough to medal, while in the high jump 2.36m can win gold and will put him immediately in the hunt for it.

Really???
Also, I don’t know what his speed is like, but I wonder if he has a shot at the LJ WR. I remember reading on another forum (I’ll find it later) about how one advantage Powell may have had over Lewis was a higher take off angle that may have been correlated to his superior high jumping ability (I’m explaining it poorly but it was interesting)
this guy should be at 2.40 at least by now
he has the power, he's lean and he has the height. his competitors don't have nowhere near his strength.
needs a new coach asap to get gold in paris
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
