New Kiger 7 has improved grip, and cushioning. Surely will be very durable too.
Ground contact I found is lacking compared to the 5/6 because of the zoom air.

King Tiger and reed, what are your thoughts on HOKA EVO SpeedGoat? I've never worn HOKA but obviously Walmsley crushes the trails in these... I'm concerned about the high stack height on technical, rocky terrain like in the Mid-Atlantic (i.e., Appalachian Trail, etc.).. thoughts?
Also, what is the weight of the Kiger 7? Both Nikerunning.com and Runningwarehouse.com don't list the weight.. sub-10?
The EVO speedgoat is not low. Not exactly that sturdy either. I am on my 3rd pair of them, I myself love them. Can be unsturdy at times. While on the lighter side, they are not low. Great feeling underfoot, don't feel the rocks hardly at all. Great shoe. Though not what he is looking for I am afraid.
The thing I'm most excited about re: Nike Terra Kiger 7's is getting another pair or two of TK6's for real good prices.
Unless 7th time's the charm and they finally figure out how to use a rubber compound that's better on hard wet rock.

kiger or sense ride would be a good bet in all but the muddiest or rockiest conditions.
I also think the Nike Terra Kiger or the Salomon Sense Ride have the feel the OP is looking for. Also consider the Saucony Peregrine for a tiny bit more foam, or the Inov8 TrailTalon (235 or 290) for less cushion.
I loved my Nike Terra Kiger 5 though. Checks all the boxes you’re looking for.

Yep, looked into Sense Ride and Kigers quite a bit. Ended up taking the Inov-8 X-talon G 235 at the end as they had reviews praising their sturdyness and like many of the other suggestions they also fit my criteria. Thanks for the tips guys!

Rubber compound is the same as the 5/6
I ran with them on wet rock (limestone) and was slipping.
If you like the Kiger 5/6 then I don't think you will like the 7. It feels like a totally different shoe.
Like you I want to stock up on the 6 now.
I mean the wet grip is bad on certain rocks, but honesty is not much of a problem IRL as I use other shoes for rain or mud.
