Awassa City - top 3 qualify for Tokyo
Awassa City - top 3 qualify for Tokyo
I am going to need a list of competitors. I thought they may have used Hamburg instead.
Any idea how much prior notice was given to the athletes?

Supposedly, prospective athletes were notified <2 weeks ago. There was talk of making it 20k given that it is in such close proximity to the Games. Race will be at 6000ft. No one will be given a spot unless in the top 3.
From another thread regarding some of the athletes:
Kitata
Wasihun
Geremew
Bekele
Desisa
Did they only notify the top athletes like 6 weeks in advance? That doesn't seem like a ton of time.

Correct.
I’m guessing this will be a cleanly contested athletic contest.
Did they consult with rojo? Maybe not since this isn't that close to the Oly Games.
