your logic, like that of so many Americans, is focused on individual risk rather than collective health. vaccinated people need to keep wearing masks in public so that... everyone keeps wearing masks in public. masks aren't a big deal. stop complaining.
The CDC says it's okay for vaccinated people to hang out in close-quarters with low-risk unvaccinated people without precaution. Pretty much everyone left who's unvaccinated is either low-risk or have chosen to forgo the vaccine.
But we still have to wear masks outside in public? That's idiotic and anti-scientific.
Did anyone here actually read the CDC guidelines? They don't make any mention of outside. They reference "public settings". Here are examples of public settings:
Your church
Your office
Your local watering hole
The library
The mall
The movie theater
A museum
You read "public" and assumed "outdoors". There are no guidelines (one not simply looking to complain may even say...nosuggested restrictions at all!) on being outdoors.
https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/p0308-vaccinated-guidelines.htmlTheir guidance is don't worry about social distancing with vaccinated people or otherwise healthy people. Don't even bother quarantining if you don't develop symptoms even if you are in contact with someone who has Covid. Stay careful in large groups and with at-risk folks....and still you complain??? About guidance you're just making up out of thin air??? This is by and large news that makes me very optimistic.
I swear if some of you folks lived in London during WWII you would have insisted that turning your lights off during a German air raid was infringing on your freedoms.
