That was a lot of wind but marred by a crucial flaw; no autopsy has given drugs as the cause of death. The trial will confirm that. But keep wearing your hood, by all means. You have plenty of brothers here.

I wouldn't say that. I consider I am really lucky not to think like guys like you.
George Floyd's killing caused outrage across cities in the US and around the world.
But here on Letsrun we can still find the bastion of white supremacy - the kind of thinking that holds black Americans in contempt and led to Floyd's death.
I like the way him dying of a drug overdose is FACT while the policeman having any part in the guy's death is something that can never be proven. Welcome to the alternate Universe of the conservative mind.

Nah bro white people trolling is harmless.

There. See how easy it is to post fatuous comments when you think you’re being clever?
sorry, this is comedy gold. supposed detective wathes video of woman seated in back of police car, handcuffed behind her back, escaping cuffs, stealing car, having a 100mph cahse and then says; ' if you are cuffed and seated in the back of a squad car there isn’t much you can do either.'
I would like to hear the cognitive reasoning for this? and dont repeat 'they put the cuffs on wrong' since the point is - shyt happens.
thank god this guy isnt a real detective and is just a play unregistered name on lrc.
It does appear the cause of death stated in the autopsy is insufficient and unhelpful..
It is given in the first autopsy as 'cardiac arrest'. Fine. But what caused that?
you might as well say; cause of death was lack of oxygen to brain cells - which it is, in every case ever. except possibly being in a nuclear fireball etc.

Sometimes it means their putting their knee on someone's neck. Or storming the Capitol.

Cardiac arrest isn't the same thing. A person rendered comatose can still breathe. Cardiac arrest is typically caused by insufficient oxygen through the arteries - as in blockages for example. Or asphyxiation.

The knee restraint is a fact. How long do you think you could breathe when it is on your neck for 8 minutes? In the other hand, the quantity of drugs found in his system were not found to be fatal by two autopsies. I realise estimating which facts are more relevant to cause of death are not part of your skill-set. Easier to let your prejudices do your talking.

I assume you’ve watched the video? The knee isn’t on his windpipe. Nowhere close. He doesn’t even look to have much weight on him at all. So I’d bet I could breathe indefinitely in that position.

The point we should all accept is that we need to find out what information comes out at the trial before thinking we know everything there is to know about this case. We don't.
Everyone is so sure of themselves based on what they want to see.
do you honestly think that the sides that have taken those positions will accept informaiton against those conditions?
Its called confirmation ias and other things, and is a form of deranged thinking.
armstronglivs - i am not debating what you have said about the cause of cardiac arest - i am asking why the autopsy didnt link events.
ie 'xyz (not gf) died due to lack of oxygwn to the brain, caused bythe decapitation of his head by a chainsaw.'

Exactly, GF can be seen turning his head and talking, a lot, while he is being restrained. If GF wasn't worried about jail for life he would not have resisted taking the ride in the squad car and none of this would have happened. Yet, he still may have died from the terrible mix of drugs in his system but that would have gained little media play because that narrative is not of interest to them.

Again, this was because the media did NOT share all the facts.
I think here on Letsrun some people have seen enough information to form an opinion based on facts, not emotions, or skin color...something that you continue to fail to do!

You should try it. Pass off a fake 20 dollar bill and wait for the police to turn up. Oh, wait - you're not black; they probably won't see it as necessary to "restrain" you.
you do realize that the reason the cops showed up is because they were called there by the store owner, not just because of the fake bill but because of the way he was behaving. Passing a fake bill doesn't set off some alarm with the police.
Did you know that they found capsules in the back seat of the police car with Floyd's DNA on them, he was ingesting the drugs so that stye wouldn't be found on him. The guy was OD'ing.

You are exactly right they wouldn't need to restrain him, or anyone, if they don't resist arrest and don't resist going in the police car. Why is that so hard for you to see?

I saw a person being slowly killed on the street, as he begged for his life and while bystanders also pleaded with the police to stop. Nothing could justify his death by the police. As some black Americans have said - it was a lynching.
But he isn't the first and isn't likely to be the last African-American to die through police brutality. Black Americans have experienced this kind of treatment at the hands of law enforcement since slavery. That is why so many took the streets to protest last year.
The defence of Chauvin here - and the repulsive vilification of his victim - speaks volumes about how engrained racism is in American society. It is conspicuous that this defence - and the attack on Floyd, blaming him for his own death - comes from whites. No black person has spoken up here to justify the police actions.
