Trumpers just keep taking Ls
1) Trump loses
2) Senate Majority lost
3) Populist-style, much loved stimulus pushed through in Feb (could've been easy win for Trump)
4) Biden defeats COVID in just a few months (could've been easy win for Trump)
5) Chauvin convicted
I suppose the verdict shows the American justice system is not institutionally racist. The death of a man, who has been reported as a career criminal, a violent criminal, a drug addict, results in a prosecution and a guilty verdict in a court of law.

Nah. The police lied on their initial report of this incident.
Thank god for technology to catch these crooked cops.

Not a MN attorney, but acquittal on the appellate level is pretty rare. Best you can usually do on appeal is to get a new trial.
I know a cop. His biggest fear is that he will get caught up in a use of force incident and end up in jail. When cops go to jail, they have to serve all their time in solitary because prisoners find out when a cop goes to jail and try to kill him.
A verdict like this is going to help because it begins to break down the impunity that police have operated under for so long. In Chicago, the police were caught lying almost in real time about the Toledo shooting. Changing the culture in police departments is a big issue in all of this. Knowing that juries are ready to convict cops is going to change attitudes about use of deadly force.
Wow, you just destroyed the Trollmeter! This is without question the troll post of all-time. I've been on this website since around 2003 and I have never seen anything even close. I'm not kidding, either. It's really not even close. Congratulations! Now you owe us a new Trollmeter to replace the one you broke.

Race/skin color is very un-scientific was of categorizing people into gene pools. Nigerians and Kenyans are black but are no more similar than Nigerians and Spanish. Most black americans have white ancestors. If you are using the selfish gene argument... well... it all falls apart.
Waters down, doesn’t fall apart. Eye color is an example of a trait where the selfish gene would logically affect preference. (I.e. Mom has blue eyes, Kid prefers people with blue eyes)
While race is not defensible as a way to categorize gene pools, there often are obvious traits that will be more or less similar.
The hidden traits would be less likely to affect this bias.
Certainly not binary, but more of a gradient of apparent similarities would affect selfish gene behavior
Height, hair color, hair texture eye color eye width, vocal timbre, bone structure
Here is an article
“ we found that individuals bearing locally common phenotypes (natives) were less helpful to similar partners and more harmful to do similar ones then were individuals bearing locally rare phenotypes(migrants)”
The starting point is squirrels.

I guess I am in the middle somewhere politically (I think both extremes are nuts). I support police and law and order (that is fair to everyone). Chauvin was guilty. The drug defense might have held up if he had pinned him down for a minute, but nearly 9 1/2 minutes is murder. I believe Chauvin knew that he was going too far, and that because George Floyd was a thug (he was), that he would get away with it. I believe the jury made the right call here.
The other case that is just getting started, though, where the female cop shot the black man thinking she was using her taser, seems to be a horrible mistake. The trial should make that more clear, but I hope we don't swing wide to a "convict all cops" stance. Each case deserves a fair trial.
LRC trolls, whataboutists, and WN types stay home in mom's basement. Devastated.

Nonstop winning!!
The furor on here is not approaching the post-election rage though. Trumpers are getting dejected and tired. Silence is beauty.

We are light years from even charging all cops with crimes when they do something clearly criminal, let alone convicting all cops.
That’s why there is all of this tension built up over years.
Rodney King
Tamir Rice
Freddie Gray
Eric Garner
Philando Castile
Michael Brown
Breonna Taylor
It’s simply a relief to see some accountability in a high profile case.

The cops in some of those cases didn't deserve prosecution though.

Carry on!
You're calling people bootlickers now, after worshipping government employee Fauci for months?! Surely you must see the irony here?
Chauvin might not be alive by the time his lawyers mount their appeal if the Tre Tre Crip get to him on his cellblock. Aryan Cowboy brotherhood won't protect him.
