Must be the spikes. Making everyone slower. Ajee Wilson was wearing Adidas which doesn't make superspikes yet and she put up the only respectable time. Therefore Nike spikes make you slower.
spoke too soon. cant blame conditions for the other races then after a few OTQs there
If were trying to get the "standards hit" I think you have a more controlled environment doing it indoors. Obviously everyone can't do that or has access to that but yeah.
Looks like it's a little hot there so. Probably pretty disappointing for a lot of the athletes who have traveled here.
"worth 1-2 seconds per lap!"
Lol right. As if the women's 1500 that was would have been a 4:13 without the spike. Everyone knew GDS would win and no one else wanted to take it out. Guess she didn't feel like dragging a field.
I thought yall said the commentating was good. Someone just asked the favorite for Olympic gold, "What's the goal for the year?" Isn't that obvious?
And then Merber said you need to be in 1:55 shape to medal as I'd temporarily forgotten about the super shoes.
Is this sideline interviewer Emma the former Oregon runner? Looks familiar.
alan webb is in the 800??
Wow they only ran 1:47 without the spikes. So slow.
The post race interviews are bad. She sounds like a drunk sorority girl

"Olympic" 800...146.x
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Merber with a nod to Larry Rawson.
LOL, the 'rail' is a line of bricks. What you think David Katz?
Did someone tell her to wear a mask today?
Cheptegei broke the 5k world record in these conditions
Wow they only ran 13:20s. That means they’re really 13:40 guys without Nike spikes.
27 Women have run 1:55.99 or faster 13 in the 1980's, 4 in the 1970's 4from 2000-2009 and 3 from 2010-19 Ajee Wilson and Semenya and Niyonsaba
26 did it outdoors, 2 Indoors 1 Batageli (Unsure of spelling from Slovenia is the only women to do it Indoors and outdoors) Stephanie Graf ran it Indoors, but not outdoors.
So if it takes 1:55 to Medal, in only 3 Decades did they have more in the Decade than what would be done in one Day, and Without Semenya as a de-facto pacer.
