High school girl just ran a 9:51 3200, 5th all time according to announcer. These high school girls get faster every year. Stanford commit from Michigan to join Dudek. This girl lost to Hutchins by more than 1 minute in XC. What is Hutchins going to run, 9:20?

Holy cow! This year's group of girls is insane.
Maybe she's improved since XC? Maybe she prefers the flat track.
She recently also popped a 4:40 1600m, so that's senior year improvement of 30 seconds at 2 mile and 12 seconds at mile, roughly. It's actually a huge improvement even just from recent xc season! Pretty good foresight from Stanford recruiters.>
Impressive. She ran 9:20 pace for the first four laps, so I imagine she has faster times in store. I would lay even odds on a new national high school record this year.
I've ran faster than that. The fact that she gets all this attention and I don't is straight up sexism.

Thorvaldson and Brown's 3200s were timed in their two mile race at VA Showcase. Their 3000 splits were also timed and are #5(9:08) and #6(9:11) indoor all time and #6 and #8 overall.
Dadamio was also in that race and ran 9:33 / 10:10 / 10:13 PRs. Two weeks later she ran a 10:07 two mile and now another three weeks later a 9:51 3200.

The interesting thing is that we have arguably 4 of the 5 best distance runners of all time all in high school at the same time!
I would give it 90% chance. There are 4 girls who can break the record. Hutchins will probably obliterate it and she will bring others along for the ride. Tuohy's name will be on the second page within a few years.
She says she went out fast because she is preparing to stick with Thorvaldson this week at Adidas. They are both signed up for the mile/2 mile double.

I love that she skipped the 1600 because she didnt want to overdo it but then ran faster in the first mile of this race than the winner of the 1600. Kind of statement there. Why run two races when you can win both at one time, lol!
What is going on with all these crazy fast girls this year?! Cant wait to see those three go head to head twice next week. Can you imagine if Hutchins was involved in any of these races?
