Underrated record. No it’s not on borrowed time.
3:53 is world class. The opportunity for 3:53 is limited, Webb was in a deep race with El G and others on American soil.
What say you, messageboarders?

No, but I could the 3k record get barely topped.
I thought untouchable until Saturday. I now think it goes down this year.
3:53, no. 3:38, yes. Kessler might race Pre, but I doubt he will be close enough to the front to run 3:53. 3:38, on the other hand, there are plenty of meets he could run a time like that. It’s also a slightly weaker time. I also would like to see him in an 800 and a 3k. It’s hard to pinpoint whether he comes from speed or strength, but I could see sub-8:00 and/or 1:47, possibly even 1:46 from him.
Uh I'm gonna have him race more than once before I prophecy a 3:53.
Some guys never ran faster outdoors than they ran indoors (e.g. Hunter).

Without a legitimate 400 PR, its impossible to speculate on his 800 speed. He's pretty good at XC, so it seems unlikely he could run that fast for 800.

Hunter was far better in cross country, and ran 1:48 in the 800 with a slower mile. You have to be aerobically fit to run 3:57, and he never won anything major in cross country. In fact his cross country times actually make me more sure his 800 is good.
