3 other women will be switching meets. I will let the announcement come from Meet folks.

Is Marielle Hall racing a 10k anywhere? I am assuming she already has the standard from Doha, but I love seeing her race.
First name on the start list if you go to the link.
Ben True ftw.

My guess would be that Cranny and perhaps Fisher are going to be pacers for their teammates. I am looking forward to seeing Derrick in a longer race. I am still rooting for him!!
Does anyone know if this will be streamed?
Cranny and Fisher could run a very fast 10 km
Nah guys, Cranny, Schweizer et al are racing this.
Pacers will be BTC women not listed
Track folks have been talking about this meet for awhile, was just super tentative due to covid related issues. Just because people only saw this on their instagram this morning doesn't this is fresh news for everyone.

Cheserek also confirmed.
Look for extremely low 27, if not sub 27 from Kincaid and Scott. We already know that Kincaid turned the corner in 2019; but Scott seems to have also ratcheted it up a notch.
Odd to see people bîtching about something like this.
What part of Kincaid's 3000m in AZ makes you think he can run extremely low 27/sub 27?
Seeing them training the last month in Flag/Sedona. Kincaid is better the further he goes. I think we’re in for some shocking performances.

It's 25 laps around a 400m track... not a whole lot to it, just show up and compete and the times take care of themselves
to badger miler, I'm more bitching about diluting fields between two races now, Jerry dodging other competition (what else is new in the past year especially) isn't exactly badger tough as some like to say, the fans want the big guns on the same track in these brutal times, so it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth that all of a sudden they're doing something else a week prior, behind a runnerspace+ paywall no less
Fair enough. Don’t get yourself too worked up though.

The 5k field for the olympics is pretty crowded. If Cranny could go out for the 10k too that would put her in a good spot. I know Vanessa Fraser was in the running for the 10k but she's been hurt and it would be a stretch for her to make the team for the 10k.

I’ll wager you as much as you want that he doesn’t run under 27:20.
I predict two people will Go Home Devastated.
Probably hurt

This is why people hate on the BTC, there is an excellent opportunity a week later, but nope, gotta do our own small thing
Yeah, looking out for what's best for your athletes is so dumb...

Why you all twisted up, SR? Let these horses run, and be happy to see some races.

Not twisted, and not stopping anyone from racing. Just pointing out what I believe to be a bad prediction. I’m sure Woody would understand - it’s not personal.

Give it time. Let it breathe. That btc crew is in serious form.
I think it’s fair to ask why they’re bailing on Austin. What makes this sound race so much better? Why is a smaller field best for the BTC athletes? I think we all want to see the presumed best training group out there competing against others beyond a limited field, or “perfect” setup, whatever that means. As mentioned before, this has probably been in the works for awhile, but I’m a fan sick of seeing fields be diluted by crap like this. Nothing to get worked up about sure, but these are fair questions to ask,
Is this likely going to be time trial style for the fastest possible times or is it going to be strictly to get the Olympic standards?
I have no doubt cranny and fisher are capable of running very fast 10K's, I just dont know if Jerry would have them race it since it likely wont be their olympic event. If he does, that would be great and fun to watch.
Schweizer I think will definitely race the 10k as a 10k/5k double can very easily be in the cards for her, she raced it at NCAA's etc
