So you don't see the value at all in a reminder like Faucci made for the super bowl gatherings? And even if it is redundant, does it do any harm? Is it a case of erroring on the side of safety, if one is in doubt?
Don't feel that you have to answer this, in that they are rhetorical questions. I understand your point and don't agree with it.
Do you think there are people driving over to a Super Bowl party today, almost a year into the pandemic, and then they hear Faucci’s announcement on the radio, park their car and then say to themselves,
“Oh $hit! I forgot all about COVID. Faucci says don’t go to Super Bowl parties?!? Ok I better go home. Thank God I heard Dr.Faucci’s announcement, and not a moment too soon!”
They then turn around and go back home.

we've discussed that ad nauseum and adaquately explained it in that the fact that the virus could be spread asymptomatically and before the appearance of symptoms (pre-symptomatically) was not known so the recommendation changed. It is not so complicated, and again, we've discussed this extensively under another Faucci thread.
The fact that you have a need to prove your agenda at any cost is rather transparent to many of us here.
They already know that asymptomatic people infect others. They don't care how many people they might infect. They don't even care how many people they end up killing. They don't care as long as they remain asymptomatic or their symptoms remain mild.
The ONLY thing that could change their mind is developing severe symptoms and suffering seriously from them. Until then, they keep believing in their "Only My Life Matters" motto.
American football is for fat people.
Nope, no value at all. Most superbowl parties are like 3-5 people anyways....we are all not in college anymore and the college kids are not getting that sick even if they get covid. The old people are getting vaccinated and should not feel guilted out of having a party if they want to. They have put up with the bs long enough.
There is still no solid evidence of asymptomatic spread. It does not even make sense and never did. You kill people every year walking around with your sniffles, why point the finger at oyhers now when you are already guilty of murder yourself.
Exactly. Same people having major health issues or dying are the same co morbidity as with pneumonia, bronchitis or the common cold. Testing with a nasal swab confirms anything and everything a person has been exposed to. Lets test for pet allergies, dust or pollen allergies, etc. The media jumped on this as soon as the virus appeared again after having been identified from exposure to bat fecal matter in Chinese mining caves in the early 2000. With the levels of incompetence for distribution of the vaccine let alone a four month from research to fda market approval, this very well can be the flu vaccine with early release.
