If you say McDonald I would have to point out that the last non-tactical and fast 3000m he was in against fisher was at millrose a few years ago and fisher won with a collegiate indoor record. Obv this was a long time ago and things may have changed but, with their respective pro teams and training atmosphere, I'd put my money on fisher having maintained or built on his advantage over McDonald in being able to throw down a fast time. And this def gonna be fast, so long as theyre both healthy. I say fisher for the win.

I see where you’re coming from, but I could see Ches as #2 behind Rono. #2 ain’t too shabby.

I concur with this post, as a Fisher fan.

No Houlihan? No Centro? No Kate Grace despite her training with Team Boss? I would have liked to see her jump in an 800 and see how she does, I am curious if she will choose the 1500 or 800 for the trials.
Isn't Centro running the New Balance Grand Prix next weekend?

Where did she slander them?

If that is your reasoning, why would you not pick McGorty who has beaten Fisher in there last couple non-tactical races?

Social media. Just google it.

Because I'm a fan ;). But he very well could, and probably will. I think Fisher will be right there regardless.

The LetsRun community loves to ignore Sean McGorty, for some reason. I’m guilty of it too. Personally I think it’s because he looks like he’d be too good at soccer, football and/or basketball to be a great distance runner. (Weird joke-ish take might not travel well via message board, but I swear there’s some truth to it.)
Winners:
M 800: Thompson
W 800: Purrier
M 3000: King Ches
W 3000: Schweizer
Last Place Finishers:
M 800: Nohilly
W 800: Cleirigh
M 3000: Derrick
W 3000: Jorgenson
Man nobody gives Suleiman Nyambui his due...first NCAA runner to win 4 straight in the 10000m, tied with Ches for most individual NCAA titles, and an Olympic 5000m silver in '80. Top 5 men's collegians list has to put him up there with Ches and Rono...probably Pre and Lindgren too
Drew Pizza for the win in the 800.
The rabit is Joshua Cheptegei he will take it out in a cool 5:00 first 2k turn around and put on the jets and run 2:19 last 1k for a new WR 7:19.99

Update on entries:
M800: add Oliver Hoare/On Running Club (now favorite for this race?)
W3000: add Sharon Lokedi/Dark Sky Distance (Under Armour)

I did, I googled “Colleen Quigely slanders teammates” and they only thing even remotely relevant was an open letter to BTC which couldn’t be called negative or slander in my opinion.
I don’t understand why you replied in such a hostile manner to my question, I was simply asking to be pointed in the right direction regarding this so called slander
Choosing a winner in the 3000 given how little we've seen of all these guys due to COVID is a bit of a fool's errand. Who knows how their training has gone. For all we know, Gregorek is back in 3:49 shape (unlikely, but who knows!).
So, with that as a caveat, I will take McDonald because I have almost never seen him have a bad race and he is a monster. But the most talented guy in the field is Cheserek so he's my darkhorse, Jager and Kincaid would be in the mix if hey were in peak shape, but I'm thinking those days are behind Jager, and Kincaid has too extensive an injury history for me to assume he'll be ready to go.
3:36 and 13:12 last year for Jager. How many other guys in this field did that?
