Just curious. When I’m training, I need 8 hours of sleep. That is the amount of time I “naturally” sleep on rare days I’m without an alarm. For a 5 am run, I would need to be in bed sleeping at 9 pm, which realistically means getting into bed around 8:50 pm. My kids are usually asleep by 8:30, so I just don’t see how this bedtime works with people who want any time at night with their spouse or to decompress after the kids are in bed. Do you give that up for running?
