Over the past year, I have found myself wondering if it is actually worth doing two runs everyday. I have came to this dilemma as often times after work, I simply find it difficult to get around to doing my second run. Due to this I have noticed that my mileage has dropped off considerably over the past few months (my work schedule increased dramatically) and have begun increasing the duration of my morning runs to make up for the mileage lost from skipping. For example, I typically plan to run 75 minutes in the morning on a Wednesday and then 45 minutes in the afternoon. However, lately I will instead simply run 90-105 minutes in the morning instead whenever I know I likely will not being to complete the second run later in the day. This has led me to ask two questions...... How many of you actually utilize the double run in your training plans, and what do you guys do if you miss the second run of the day?
