Coaches, I've come up with a conversion factor for boys' hurdle times--I just basically double their time over the 55m hurdles to get a ballpark time for what they can do at the 110m distance. And the USTFCCCA has a pretty good conversion factor between the 55m and 60m hurdles races, in case the guys run a 60 race instead of 55.
Do you know a fairly reliable multiplier to convert girls' 55/60m times to 100m times? Obviously "just add time X" won't work, because a girl who runs 8.0 for 55m hurdles and a girl who runs 10.0 are going to take very different times to get from 55m to 100m.
Look, I'm aware that hurdlers differ, that some finish more strongly than others, yadda, and that no single multiplier will work for everyone. I get all of that. I'm just looking for a factor that you've found works pretty well.
Thanks for any help!
