Right now they they decided to move smokers and obese people to the front of the line.
It stands to reason healthy runners will be moved to the back of the line for vaccinations.

Everyone who is getting covid-19 vaccine now are lab rats. You will get covid-19 2.0 vaccine in September. It will all work out.

What state are you from? I'll take your place for the vaccination. You can choose to take your chances with Covid. Give my best to your parents. I wish them well.

This is how we work in America. It’s like how it’s easier to be a poor minority, they get to go to schools with extra funding (title 1), they get extra grants and scholarships, and they get an easier chance to get jobs with things like affirmative action. So you could be a lazy and unmotivated, as long as your a minority, and be given preference over hard working people. But the liberal thing to do is feel sorry and make excuses for people who choose not to take care of themselves.
Where did that come form?
Covid-19 has been in U.S. since December, 2019 (I do not know if C.D.C. states December, 2019 officially). You have made it. If you're from Bergen County or Hudson County, more than likely you have been exposed to covid-19 and survived. You do not want to tell your kids you were one of first in row boats. What would Captain Edward Smith do? What would Commander Francis Slattery do?
It seems to me the idea is to try to save as many lives as possible.
"According to New Jersey logic if you are a fit runner who eats [healthfully] you should get the vaccine last"--this is what a ton of posters on this board have beens saying for months: WE (the young, the fit, the un-fat) won't get sick--or if we do, we'll recover with no ill effects--so why should there be restrictions on US?
So I guess we can call it NJ logic and LRC logic.

I'm sorry that you've allowed yourself to be bothered so much by those people who just *persist* in being brown. I hope you feel better soon.
Young, fit and healthy SHOULD be getting vaccinated last. However, the idea of moving smokers and obese unhealthy people to the front is criminal. They are at high risk due to their own poor life choices. A healthy 77-yo man is not at risk due to poor life choices; he is a risk due to age. Age cannot be controlled. They should start with front line healthy care workers, then people in nursing homes, then healthy 65+ year-olds, and only after ALL the people who fit these categories are done should they start to vaccinate others.
Don't feel bad, in New Mexico convicts get the vaccine before law abiding citizens...Our Dem governor has a soft spot for criminals.
It's because Dems want equal outcomes...Equal opportunity isn't enough. Disparate outcomes means people are not all equal and that reality is unacceptable to the left.

Didn't most states start with those in first and second tiers?
I can see an argument from there to opening it up to anyone who wants it. We have already seen examples where vaccine has been tossed because no one was there to get a shot when I bet that people would want it.

This is tricky because some groups have been impacted more. The death rate in some populations (aside from the elderly) have been higher. In some cases it is a co-morbidity where obesity is greater among blacks than other populations. So being obese would put them at the front of the line.
The argument "they did that to themselves" is a pretty poor one here where we are talking about the ripple effect on others. Vaccinating the high risk groups 1) increases rate of lives saved 2) reduces the demand for resources like hospital beds and 3) saves money either for insurers or the taxpayer.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
