Hi all, I'd like some opinions on my current situation. Here it is:
24 year old male
Was a 4:20s/high 15s 5k high schooler and then an injured college athlete. I'm fine now.
Past couple years I've averaged about 8 miles per week with a couple getting in shape spurts.
Been building since start of december and am at about 3/4 days of 5-7 miles per day each week at this point. So basically 20 mpw.
I am signed up for a marathon in 13 weeks.
Currently 7 miles @6:45 pace feels strenuous but doesn't take too much out of me. I feel like I could do 10 at goal pace without any trouble.
I plan on running a half marathon at goal pace in 3/4 weeks, 15 miles at goal pace in 6/7. And 20 miles at goal pace in 10 weeks. My goal is to run a marathon in under 3 hours. Preferably under 2:55 so I for sure make Boston.
So... have at me. Tell me how likely it is I pull this off.
