The Grievous Angel
The Drunken Angel or
The Infamous Angel?
The Grievous Angel
The Drunken Angel or
The Infamous Angel?
Angel from Montgomery.

Most 'significant' out of these three? I'd have to go with Grievous Angel, because it's got to be the most well known of the three. But personally, I prefer Drunken Angel. And I don't know Infamous Angel.

+1
Eddie Izzard?
“On the way out of Egypt
Through Ethiopia
To the judgment hall of Ch-riiist.”
What an odd person.

None of the above. The correct answer is the Fallen Angel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AelpbAegA-4Drunken Angel for sure. Killer songs all 3 though.
"The angel rides with hunchbacked children, poison oozing from his engine
Wieldin' love as a lethal weapon, on his way to hubcap heaven"
Angel is the Centerfold.
Also:
Angel of the Morning
Angel of Harlem
In order:
1-Drunken Angel
2-Grievous Angel
3-Angel Baby
4-Johnny Angel
5-Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'
6-Angel of the Morning
7-Angel From Montgomery
8-Earth Angel
Teen Angel
I forgot about "Teen Angel." A little known fact: When it was first released in 1959 it wasn't allowed to be played on the radio because it was deemed to be too sad. The same thing in the UK. Eventually it was allowed to be played and became one of the biggest hits of the year.

Of all the “angels” listed I think Gram Parsons (the Grievous Angel) has had the greatest long term impact.
Blaze Foley (who Lucinda Williams called the Drunken Angel) was a tormented genius and his song Clay Pigeons captures what it feels like to be alone in an amazing way. The Avett Brothers cover of it is fantastic.
Iris Dement, whose album Infamous Angel is fantastic. Her song Our Town captures what it is like to live in a dying town perhaps better than Springsteen did in his song My Hometown.

So, I read up on these songs. I always loved Drunken Angel, but never knew the backstory.
Anyway, Emmylou Harris appears as a guest artist on all three of the albums that these songs appear on, which is maybe a not so weird coincidence.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
