I am sick and tired of getting injured so often. I can't train at all if I am just going to keep getting injured. I am seriously considering hanging up my shoes now.

How is it the right call? I thought the average young male can break 5 in the mile?

Quit or don't quit. Talking about it here is worthless.
With the mileage you have reported you shouldn't be injured as much as you say you are. You either aren't physically able to run, you are doing something wrong and can't figure out what it is, or you mistake discomfort for injury. No one here can determine which.

How is someone supposed to know they are physically unable to run? Also, I did not have discomfort. I 100% know it is PF, which is an injury that isn't healing while I train.
I'm very sorry. I hope you find what you're looking for.

In any given pursuit, half of the population is below average.

Yet, most people on this forum ran D1 XC or track
have 10 beers sunday and see how you feel about the running thing afterwards.

Who told you that? That’s simply not true. Even if it isn’t an accomplishment with a lot of clout behind it anymore in the competitive scene, running sub 5 for most people is still a huge accomplishment that takes years of hard work and rigorous dedication.
David: Where have you been? You haven’t been posting at all.
You have to be fit to run, you don't need get fit by running.
Running is the most common cause of overuse injuries. Your experience is only abnormal in this competitive running community.
Run every other day. Lift every other day.

Doesn't matter. Lots of people can't run consistently day after day without getting hurt. Doesn't matter if you've tried for 2 years or 10.
Stop running. Or at least stop trying to compete. Just run every other day for health. Lift weights every other day or just find something else fun.

So there is no way I can be a good runner?
"I thought the average young male can break 5 in the mile?"
Whoever told you that is wrong.
" I 100% know it is PF, which is an injury that isn't healing while I train."
How do you know? You haven't seen a doctor.
"Yet, most people on this forum ran D1 XC or track"
And? This forum is a considerable minority in the entire male running community much less the entire world's male population.
"But I have been running for two years"
You still don't get it, do you?
You took 6 months off with your stress fracture. You take breaks because somewhere "hurts". You shuffle in your yard which wasn't running.
You've done little running that goes towards improvement. In fact, you probably run LESS than somebody on a C25k plan with your 20 minute shuffles. Let that sink in when you think about why you aren't improving.
"So there is no way I can be a good runner?"
Who knows. You've done absolutely nothing but intermittent, inconsistent shuffling for the past 2 years. You spend more effort looking for excuses than actually taking the steps to improve yourself. Or in other words, you've done jack ****.
You're asking us whether or not you'll become a great mathematician when all you've done is addition and subtraction using a calculator.
I can't help I keep getting injured

No.
In the same why I could never be a good NBA player or NFL player etc. In the grand scheme of things I'm not even a very good weight lifter and was barely an ok runner.
Even with your issues you're still a better runner than the average Joe.
So do whatever the heck makes you happy. Just stop pissing and moaning about it here.
You are the Jamin of running. He could never get a date with a live human girl and complained about it all freakin day long. You could never sniff a 5:00 mile and you complain about it all freakin day long. It's all good man.
Focus on what you're good at. Forget about the rest.
Alan
If that's all you can reply from that post, you're beyond help.
If your body can't even handle a C25k plan, then running might not be your thing to excel at. That's fine. Running is making you miserable, you don't like exercise. Find whatever that makes you happy and go to a community where you can interact with people that share your interest. It will be for the benefit of both the people here and you.
