It was good to see Stinson back from surgery.

Interesting factoid: 33yr old 2020 Olympics Marathon Trials finisher Kurt Roeser (2:18:00 PB), who finished 35 seconds behind DeMoor yesterday, had this to say after the race, "I’m in the best shape, the best fitness I’ve ever been in in my life.". Note, Roeser set his Half Marathon PB six weeks ago in a time of 1:04.40.

do you guys know if Seth James DeMoor will go under quarantine before return to his house? the guy has to be responsible with his kids and True Love
Of course not! It's HIS family. My teenage daughter gave us all COVID, we didn't ban her from the house or coming home every day from school. All my three kids got COVID and one had a headache, one had nothing, and the other lost taste. Now, my wife and I had a rough go for about 10 days, but 100% now.

For how much letsrun was hyping this race up, I expected faster. 2 sub 105. No one within 8 mins of the women's winner. There were a handful of good athletes and what looks like the local area sub elite.
It's a fact that dude said that, but that doesn't make it necessarily true. He could have peaked 6 weeks ago or at some point between then and Saturday. In fact (haha), it's highly probable. No doubt he also got a bit cooked in the humidity, which affects individuals to varying degrees. All anyone in Colorado had to do was put on an extra sweatshirt a few times per week for the past month and they could have dealt with it far more easily. I'd wager that Stinson is fitter than his finishing time, but he didn't need to do much special preparation for this field of c-listers.

Only desperate idiots are traveling to races such as this one.

"Races such as this one"?? Not sure exactly where you're coming from. Only desperate runners are doing a race in Naples Florida in January? With prize money? And comped entries? And they'll put you up?

More like covidiots will spread covid. It would not shock me in the slightest if Seth gets Covid from this. Covid is at an all time high. Dude took 2 flights in 4 days and was around a ton of people. He should really get tested or quarantine.

Seth returns home ASAP to start his next training block and continue editing his Vlog, he is not considering testing or quarantine

Then where are all the athletes from Bowerman, NAZ Elite, Hansons, Atlanta TC, and the like? Despite all you list above they ALL found good reason to AVOID this race EN MASSE. Clearly this race didn't offer much in the way of safety protocols to entice better runners to risk the trip and enjoy the rich rewards. Parker Stinson has never won in Houston, let alone by over a minute. Despite the love affair here for some attention whore youtuber, that's why this race had such a low quality field despite the aforementioned "hype."
Have any of those athletes every come to this race? This year was deeper and more competitive than it traditionally is.
You or your children are exposed to many more people at school. Quit the hysteria.
I didn't tell them not to come to this race, moran. In a year of significant scarcity, there should otherwise be higher demand for opportunities for pros. Someone asked why it was such a shallow field and I explained the obvious reasons why. Sorry that doesn't jibe with your dippy culture warrior mindset.
There have been more competitive years. You are not understanding that this years race compared to 10 yrs ago the big difference is carbon shoes exist now so in fact this year wasn't as competitive as you are thinking
More people will die from fear of living than from trying to go about living a normal life.
Airplane travel, running outdoors, and participating in normal healthy activities are less likely to kill you than staying at home watching propaganda of CNN.
Top three Age-Grade placers in yesterday's race:

Question for the board: If DeMoor and Stinson were to race Pikes Peak Ascent in three weeks, who would win? I would take DeMoor in that race.

Both DNF unless they wore snowshoes.

Fair enough, if they were to race the Ascent in August, giving Stinson time to prepare, who wins?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
