I am a runner, I run.
What drives me? My car.
I'm obsessed with time goals.
I haven't been able to run since 1972.
But thanks for bringing up such a sensitive subject. While you're at it, why not give me a nice paper cut and pour a little lemon juice on it?

Why are you so sensitive about it? It was 48 years ago that you last ran? That is a lot of time to get used to it. Are you able to exercise?
Anybody want a peanut?
I am lucky to get in 30 mpw. I keep getting non-running injuries. I pulled a glute swimming at the lake over the summer and it took about five months for it to resolve. Then, I pulled a muscle in my back and am still waiting for that to clear up. 50 sucks.

I assumed most people who post on here are recreational runners.
What can I say, I love to run. The motion appeals to me. The endorphins are nice. I like the challenges.
Just about 40yo. I do a run/bike/lift revolving schedule. I run to reach goals and demonstrate to my kids that fitness and a good work ethic are part of a well-rounded person. On my 40th, a sub 40 10k and bench pressing 40 reps of my body weight in 4 minutes is the current goal, then looking at the Master’s 4x800wr.

Umm, there some things more important than running. The Alt right is trying to destroy our country! Time to unite and fight back!
Keeps me sane. Keeps me from being 200+ pounds. Gets me out in some fresh air.
I’m young enough to break some of my PRs for shorter distances, and I’m motivated to run a marathon at some point in the next few years. Also, there isn’t exactly a whole lot to do right now with covid. Running is probably my only outdoor hobby that I can still do as usual, except for racing.

Full disclosure I haven't ran since April when all the lockdown walkers started clogging up the streets in my neighborhood. After that I never really got back into it. I gained 20lbs. And now I just hang around LRC to talk crap about people who do run.
Age 60. The main reason for me to run is to prove that I am still able to run after a heart attack in July, 2019.
I will start up again in March. My last run was 5K in 28:56 on Oct. 6, 2020.
I need another drink. Glug glug glug gimme another bear. !!!
Yes I run. I definitely enjoy the headspace I get into, particularly after 30 minutes. I also like to eat, and don’t enjoy weighing a ton. I also try to be “adventure-ready.”
I am 70, and have been running since 1965. I ran 13 miles today in doubles, so doing ok.
Oh, enjoy it and still have goals.

Yes because if I did not run I would not feel fully alive.
I ran from grade 7 until I was about 22. That's enough. I ran fast enough. What's the point, after a while?
I cycle and lift now. I'm about as fit as I ever was, just not as fast in running. I only come here for the conservative/white troll type posts and to stay informed about any other politics related discussion.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
