With the advent of the internet, there is a lot of information out there to read, and a lot of mis-information.
Without knowing what you have read, which allegedly forms the basis of what you say, I have to take it with a grain of salt. Without a more specific response, I can't be sure you read anything at all, and if so, that you properly understood it when applying it to elite performers and performances, like El G's world record 2000m performance.
The issue here is confirming whether the experts you want to align yourself with are saying the same things you are saying, and then determining if such things have been observed by them in controlled settings, or if it is their own unconfirmed intuition.
I have often read expert anti-doping researchers issue disclaimers that caution against applying what they found in the course of their experiments to elite performances, which are performed under different conditions with non-representative subjects in a different initial state.
