Not sure of the exact course or elevation, but Ches did a solo road mile for the virtual Honolulu mile. If accurate that's mighty impressive.

Not sure when this was ran relative to Sound Running
What a beast.
How is that dude even still here? His student visa expired years ago. It isn't like he qualifies for a critical needs visa, given his lack of technical skills.
ever heard of a work visa?

I feel bad for Ches. As LetsRun said on the podcast, he's starting to be known as the guy who in super shape at some obscure time of the year.
Klecker 3:58, Hoare 3:56 at 5,000 ft on a track.

Carlsbad 5000 might be a go!
I thought he would be running 12:55 by now

That would be a crap time for the mile.
Donald Trump jr.. why do you care?? He has lived here for years and now is a professional runner. Why are you here??
I think Bun and Pony asks a good question no one has answered. Let me make clear I am a fan. I'll admit I didn't like him much in NCAA but I find myself rooting for him now. I hope he gets a few more good races in soon. Nevertheless, it seems very likely he is without a visa. I am neither an immigration attorney (although I studied exactly that) nor CIS official, but I - and neither are any of you if the replies here are any indication -am aware of no legal basis for his presence.
ICE agent here. it's come up a few times here at the office whether we should look into this guy's visa status, but we are all too depressed to bother. every one of our wives keeps cheating on us. :(

Best reply of the year. Congratulations on your achievement.

He did run 13:04 in summer of 2019 for the win at a meet in Belgium. Maybe in 2021 he'll run 12:55 if he gets accepted into the right race.
King Ches! Now there's a name I haven't heard much recently. Supposed to have taken over the world by now according to the fanboyz. Congrats on achieving a time that would be #8 in Belgium for 2020.

Starting? Since college this has been the reputation he has.
Heard he trains HARD and often.
did he propose to her a year ago while in Hawaii for this mile race?
Guess he is stringing her along
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
