Of course they are, no doubt.
Adidas was on top of the running market from 2015-2019 and then lost that position to Nike for a year and a half. During that period so many fanboys have been talking sh** about Adidas and praising Nike in the most toxic way I have ever seen. They dont understand how top companies work.
Now they are eating their words and it feels so good.
Adizero Adios Pro Lighstrike are the must have shoes now.
for sure, they should be 7%

R those the ones 1st and 3rd wore in Valencia? Are they available for the masses? I thought I was reading last year that the shoes Kipruto was wearing last year for 10k record were not available in the US? Please inform. Also, what are the similarities and differences between new Adidas technology and Nike?
No Nike or Adidas in the top of the women's 10k. Under Armour dominated. HOKA and ON made statements also.
The adios Pro are available in the US. A fabulous shoe very different from the Nike VF and AF. 5 front rods instead of a plate. You can really feel your toes working dynamically instead of being dictated by a plate or air pod. Super fun to run and fast. Very different and distinctive. Really the first super shoe which is not a take or variant of the Nike approach. We have a multi tester review here with many scored comparisons: https://www.roadtrailrun.com/2020/09/adidas-adizero-adios-pro-review-novel.html

That’s great to hear - go adidas!
lol no chance 5 rods are faster than a curved plate
The shoes work in a range. Not every athlete gets the same benefit out of each model. Adidas has made a big leap with this shoe but anyone that says they have better training shoes right now is a liar. The Boston is the only remaining decent trainer and they wrecked their other lines years ago.
I agree. Other than ancient Boston adidas has no decent trainers right now. And quite frankly Nike struggling other than Tempo Next and for me women’s version of Peg 37. Softer React less air pod PSI, a much smoother ride and lighter with a better upper.

Thanks for sharing that. Great overview of these shoes.
Overall, I'm a fan, Just find them heavy. Haven't pushed the pace in them yet, however, so we'll see...

Spunk and personality? It's a shoe. You aren't reviewing art.
For training, I like the adidas Solar Glide and Solar Boost (although it is almost too soft for anything besides easy days).
We've got an article up on the shoes: https://www.letsrun.com/news/2020/12/adidas-super-shoe-the-adizero-adios-pro-is-a-huge-winner-in-valencia-with-half-marathon-world-record/

I'm not a scientist but why not?
Plus adidas and the adidas' a athletes don't seem to agree with you.
I'll never understand how some of these shoe companies name their shoes.
But adidas has the 2 adidas adizero pro racing shoes.
There is the adizero pro shoe for $180 that has a carbon plate.
And there is the adizero adios pro shoe for $200 that has the carbon rods and a smaller plate in the heel. The adidas winners in Valencia were wearing the adios pro suggesting they think the rods are faster than the plate. The fact adidas prices the rods at $200 vs $180 seems to suggest as much as well.
I have no idea why one shoe is called
adizero pro
and one the adizero adios pro. The average joe won't even know they're not the same.
Bizarre. Plus if you type "adizero pro" into the adidas website, the adios shoe which might be the Vaporfly killer doesn't even show up. If you type "adizero adios pro" it doesn't even show up on the search results page. Don't believe me? Go here:
https://www.adidas.com/us/search?q=adizero%20adios%20proCan someone explain adidas' naming system to me? adidas even has hockey jerseys with the same name.

I spent a year researching and writing about running shoes fairly regularly, and Adidas never made sense. Its model and version numbering is a giant confusing mess. Some of the worst marketing in the business.

I don't know about this. Last time I heard Adidas was made to break just like Nike.
I didn't know that people were still arguing about it. It's a difficult question, as I wore both shoes, but I have no favorite. Previously, I even watched the reviews on YouTube. The design of both is cool, but I like the classics in Nike.
At least the adidas will go on sale, whereas nike will sell out. I'll get two pair in a few months.
