Not sure if it is just my weak chest. I did this workout as follows:
1 pushup, 1 minute rest.
2 pushups. 1 minute rest.
3 pushups. 1 minute rest...
The workout is finished when you can't finish a set explosively anymore.
After doing this a few times, my runs feel SUPER EASY. Not sure how I should use this, it seems as though it is my secret weapon now. In a recent tempo run, we were running at 6:40 pace for a 3 miles, and it felt like we could talk to one another on the run. It was so easy. This is interesting because in a previous run, I was struggling at 7:30 pace for a tempo (also 3 miles).
Therefore, my question is:
Have you guys felt that strengthening your chest leads to big improvement? Or do I just have a weak chest?
