I'm curious if anyone has tried or is currently following a low carb - high fat diet and still trying to run high quality times in 5km (Sub 15:30) and 10km (Sub 32mins)? I understand that carbohydrates are without a doubt a better fuel source when trying to perform exercise at a very high intensity and that low carb high fat diets are mostly encouraged for ultra marathons etc but I want to know if anyone was still able to achieve high quality performances in the shorter distances when following this diet and if so, how did they go about it?
