I just developed symptoms and tested positive...AFTER flying back to my hometown, hanging out with two different friend groups, spending Thanksgiving with my entire extended family, then flying home. Whoops, I guess, haha.
You have a about a 1 in 1000 risk of dying with this if you are under 65. That is about the same as a typical flu season. Hiding out is putting people out of jobs, killing businesses, and in general, eroding the economic future of everyone on the planet. So, no, it's not a great idea to hide out and wait. Wear a decent mask (they do work) and go about your life as normal as possible. There have been very few documented cases of transmission on planes since the airlines started requiring masks.

True, one could. But they would risk exposing their low IQ

Americans don't understand that the death rate is irrelevant......they also have no interest in going back to "normal" - at least from judging by their actions. They fly around freely and don't wear masks - unknowingly spreading the virus.
They have also been taught from birth that they live in "the greatest country on the planet." Any American that has traveled abroad (there are not many) is typically educated enough to realize that all of the civics brainwashing is false, and cult-like.
More stats: 73M Americans voted for a game show host for President. Of those 73M, 81% believe he actually won the election. Not joking - really, you can't make this stuff up.
Another fun stat: Many millions of voters voted in a senile pedophile hell bent on putting the final nail in the coffin and turning the once great USA into north korea. Sadly, you can't make this stuff up.
I thought the election was fraudulent. Glad to see we've moved on from that.

IQ don't matter too much if you're dead, brother

Patently false, every curve I’ve seen suggests no less than 400 million dead Americans if trends continue
Bro. There arent even 400 million ppl in the us.

We're already halfway

That senile mans first failed presidential campaign blew up because he was caught plagiarizing a previous presidential campaign.
That senile old man's family took money from a corporation owned by the Chinese government of which he got 10%.
That senile man talks of unity, the same one who in 2012 told people Mitt Romney wanted to put Black people back in chains.
That senile man is going to save us from the threats to our freedom. Yet he took credit for the Patriot act and was part of the administration that expanded it and lied about it to congress. Then he chased the whistleblower around the world threatening any country that would take him in with sanctions.
That senile old man is about to go toe to toe with Iran. A nation that's government has a religious hatred of the West and has stated that they want to acquire nuclear arms to destroy Isreal. But we are going to grant them free trade which will save their failing economy despite the fact that we know they will not stop from making Nuclear Arms and that the deal has sunset clauses on the restrictions against them the first of which expires in just 4 years.
Yet half the country is celebrating like this is a return to a better more honest time. You honestly can not make this stuff up.

IQ is surely something you needn't worry about losing.

Sad. Is your whole life a fraud?

As fraudulent as the election.
I do enjoy exposing low IQ frauds on this board though... if that counts!
Fixed my epic own:
Wow he must have been running against someone pretty awful if he still got elected!
What could someone do to lose to that kind of dude...
Gotta be something like ignore the deaths of 250k+ Americans.. hmmm

I agree you're doing a fine job with that. They're the few that agree with your posts.

Papa Trump became a dump
Couldn't make it up the hump

And it blew up in his face
He supported things like Sturgis
Stupid men riding their scourges
Rallies thousands people deep
Rising Covid rates a heap
Swindling emoluments
Manipulating VP Pence
Donnie Donnie why to cry
You lost you ogre they don't lie
So now it's time for Dotard's base
To be American and SHUT YOUR FACE

Here is something you guys need to make sense of:
From January 1st 2017- December 31st 2017:
Ages 65-74 lost 1.8%
Ages 75-84 lost 4.5%
Ages 85+ lost 13.6%
Source: CDC
We are ALL born to die. I said it before and I will say it again. I would rather die tomorrow than hide in my house indefinitely. If you guys want to hunker down I'm not stopping you. Do what you feel keeps you safe. But as I said, consider that you will die of something anyway.
If you choose to live life as I have just be smart about your behavior. Whenever someone got in my space at the airport and elsewhere I moved so I could remain distant. I kept the mask over my mouth and nose which seems to be an issue for some. When I eat at restaurants I eat outside. If it is too cold I get take out.
I have been going to the movies every weekend for the last two months with my wife. We typically have the entire theater to ourselves because EVERYONE is too scared or they feel guilty to do anything anymore.
My family took a trip to Florida to see my son for Thanksgiving. We were all together. None of us got the virus. While I was down there I visited my parents who are elderly. I got tested before going, we ate outside, and I did not get within 15 feet of them and kept the mask on. So yes, my life has changed a little bit but not much.
I don't feel guilty or selfish in any way. I don't deny that there is a danger. But, unlike most I realize there exists danger in everything I do. The same people who would have driven at 80 miles per hour to a ski area to snowboard or ski down a dangerous mountain in a non covid year will not do so this year for fear of the virus. Does anyone else here find that a little odd?

Yeah, snowboarding and skiing are so dangerous to not just other snowboarders and skiers, but also to those who have contacts with snowboarders and skiers at their workplaces, right? If you do not want to die, you should avoid contact with people who snowboard or ski, because that's your personal responsibility.
