After two or three weeks of super super light training (tapering for my teams sectional race), I ended my season and began my two week break to gear up for winter. Before all this, I applied for the East Coast Champs, and I wasn't initially accepted.
However, I just got an email that a team dropped out, opening up 6 spots. The race director told me there is a 90% chance I'll be able to run next Saturday! My last two races from 11/21 and 11/14 were absolute sh*t (probably from over tapering lol), should I even bother accepting and running another awful time? Or maybe a week off will give me fresh legs (prob not lmao)?
Any guidance on what to would be great! I'm leaning towards just doing it because I haven't had a chance to run at Holmdel this year. Another race wouldn't hurt, even if it is crappy.
