Fast!!
My god that is STUPID quicc
This should be a good 5k next week with Teare, Grijalva and Hunter.
Drew hunter is DONE. These guys negative split the entire way, probably could have run sub 7:40. The 5k will be all them vs. Luis. Tinman is toast!
Incredebly, it is really fast
Everyone else is improving but Drew Hunter is stagnant. Sad. He needs to dump Tinman ASAP.

Hocker's best 3200 m 1 1/2 years ago in HS was 8:56. Maybe he could have gone a little faster, but still, this is a pretty big step.

He ran like a 3:58 mile last year and had some really solid XC results (low 23's if memory serves). To me those were the big step forwards from being a 4:07 guy in HS. It is nice though to see that he is still improving at a decent clip. I always thought he was a bit better in the 800m than the 5000m but I might have to reconsider if he doesn't drop a 1:48 soon:)
Hocker will be great.
all i hear is, blah blah blah. talk is everything. I respect the super fast times, but oregon guys are expected of this. head down and keep going boys. let this thread die
Drew Hunter is doing very well. Seb Coe was famously content with a sub 8:00 3k during an indoor seasons. If Drew is cruising sub 7:50s in November then he is fine.
Drew qualified for 2019 WC's...so I fail to see any major negatives here whatsoever.

Don't feed the trolls that are pathetically fishing for Hunter arguments on a thread about an Oregon time trial.
I don't think some of you realize how fast these times are. In 2018, the fastest time in the NCAA was 7:45 and 2nd was 7:48. We saw 7:42-7:44-7:45 this week in time trials.

Well that was an Oregon thread indeed until that troll decided to call DH, who if am not mistaken has run the same time last week. In November. Not too far away from his PR. Oh is it November? By any definition he is anything but "done". While I dont have any strong opinion either way on Tinman and his methods, i am wondering why people like you are so much butthurt every time that group is mentioned.... well i think i know why....

Coe was a 800/1500 guy, Drew is a 5k guy who also runs the 1500.

You clearly did not understand my post.
They probably ran it on the Tempo Loop (rolls eyes at tracksmith)

It's relevant because his brother is actually on the Oregon team. The younger Hunter actually has a better training group than Drew Hunter does in Tinman.
Drew's 3k was not just a random meaningless November 3k. He is going for the Olympic A Standard in early December (entered in a race at sub 13:15). Drew Hunter is literally peaking RIGHT NOW.
Aside from the numerous pro runners that have run faster than him, he now has to worry about several collegiate runners that can beat him at the Trials too.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
