I know running fast isn't something that happens overnight, but right now the only thing that motivates me is running, classes are boring and I'm tired of having that mentality without the PRs to back it up. I want to be really fast. What can I do?
What I already do:
100 mpw +/- 10
Sleep 9 hours/night
Rollout 20 min/day + a little stretching
Easy days easy and hard days hard
I do core after runs
I lift 1 - 2 times/week (3 times in the off season)
I eat healthy
Probably some more I'm forgetting
What do I do to take the next step? I'm a mid 14s guy and ideally I'd break 14 before graduating (I'm a Junior). Is there a lot to be gained from meditation and similar things? working on breathing? I'm willing to try a lot of things even if I wouldn't expect it to help (max breath holds, sleep more, not eat certain foods, lots of stretching, rope stretching, lots of core, etc) .
I don't have the money to train like a pro, but anything free or cheap and even time consuming, I'll do as long as it makes me better.
