Not really. In Seattle, where there has been 100% mask compliance for 6 months, cases steadily rose anyway and we had to start a new shutdown.
Have you considered therapy for all this latent anger and disdain? Good lord.

Virus is transmitted through droplets of fluid, which are larger than the pores of your mask. Geez at least get your talking points correct.

oh yeah, just LOOK at those horrible numbers in Washington....clearly they have mishandled it!
if masks are ineffective, then why are Seattle/s numbers so much better than so many of the anti mask states?
lol, you trumpers will hang onto anything and treat it as evidence to try to show you were right.

Just LOL at these Trumpers in their own reality zones....making up facts has become second nature to them they do it w/o even thinking about it .....honestly WTF are you even talking about ???
All that meat has melted your brain.
No wonder you back Trump, ....trith is irrelevant for you.
Japan #2 in meat consumption per capita.....just lol.
why do you bother spewing lies that are so obviously false?
"The most significant dietary correlate of low CVD risk was high total fat and animal protein consumption. ...The major correlate of high CVD risk was the proportion of energy from carbohydrates and alcohol, or from potato and cereal carbohydrates. Similar patterns were observed between food consumption and CVD statistics from the period 1980-2000, which shows that these relationships are stable over time.
Conclusion: Our results do not support the association between CVDs and saturated fat, which is still contained in official dietary guidelines. Instead, they agree with data accumulated from recent studies that link CVD risk with the high glycaemic index/load of carbohydrate-based diets."

Say what you want about masks or no masks, lockdowns or no lockdowns. This post right here captures the essence of the entire dilemma. We here in America, while also being a heterogeneous population, are very unhealthy and are not held accountable for our personal lifestyle choices. This is why nationalized healthcare would never work. This is why we are more susceptible to the virus. Too many fatties eating too much crappy convenience food because they can’t be bothered to put together a stir fry w chicken, veggies, and a little rice every night. Even the poverty-stricken can afford this, but they won’t take the time. Americans largely hate fish. They consume way too much alcohol. They don’t exercise enough. We are our own worst enemies, consumed by politicized social media and cable “news” fear mongering entertainment on both sides. Americans are pathetic, and we deserve what’s coming to us.

Yeah, I lean left but this is so true.
There's probably a huge amount of people who were on the unemployment + $600 plan this year who are still insanely unhealthy. They had months completely free of any obligation, and were getting paid like $800/week for doing nothing, and still couldn't eat healthy and go for a walk.
End of the day, the individual people make up a town, city, state, country. And that tells you something.
And people think I'm so heartless for not caring about these people and only being concerned with the emotional well-being of schoolchildren.
Glad someone else gets it. Instead of worthless lockdowns and masks, the CDC should declare war on processed crap food full of refined carbs and seed oils (this includes the disgusting fake meat enterprise). This would not only help against covid, but every other major metabolic disease incuding CHD, diabetes, cancer, stroke, dementia all of which are tied to poor diet, which in turn ties into poor activity levels.
Unfortunately, doing so would pit the government against Big Food, Big Ag and Big Pharma, who pocket trillions off of the slow-motion-suicide-by-diet they promote.
LOL...your own link even states Japan eats.....wait for it......15lbs of beef a year. haha
maybe try using real sources for your info? you'll still be a clown but at least will look less like one.
Japan barely eats a third of the meat that the leading countries do.
get a grip buddy, you truly are losin' it.

I can't have my burger, but you can walkthrough the grocery looking for kale, during a pandemic, without you mask on?
Please. Leave.

Except the virus is mostly carried on water vapor droplets that are bigger than the pores in the masks

But if someone suggests a government agency should do something it would immediately be dismissed as socialism.
Same with 'Big Pharma' - how about we tackle it by introducing a universal healthcare system who would have a monopsony (either real or effective) over which drugs are used?

It looks like that data does not include fish. If fish was included Asian countries would be much higher.
Japan did everything we didn't:
Strict federal guidance and lockdown of super-spreader location
massive federally backed testing
mandatory contact tracing and isolation
extremely high mask compliance from early March

100%? Hardly. However I have noticed compliance in the Seattle city limits to be far higher than the burbs. And people cross municipal borders and infect, and are infected by, others.

Kale is disgusting and unhealthy. Educate yourself for once, Hill Billy.

Over a pound a day/person and 30-40% of the diet from animal meats (fish is an animal, sorry soibois) is not a "third of leading countries". Hong Kong, doing as well as Japan despite no lockdowns and a more urban population, consumes nearly two lbs/person/day.
Don't trip on your clown shoes on the way out.
