Have HAVE dammit. Would HAVE made it. Not would OF...dear God!!
correction to your post:
The ocean liner Brittanic, then being used as a hospital ship, was torpedoed in the Aegean sea on November 21, 1916.
Interesting note: most on board the Brittanic perished when it sunk but among those saved was a stewardess... she had also survived the sinking of the Titanic four years earlier!
Violet Jessop also was on the RMS Olympic that smacked into a British Warship. Boat sinking - ah no big deal!
Miss Unsinkable indeed! Yes, the first sinking of the three was on the luxury liner Olympic (at the time the largest luxury liner in the world) when it collided with the British warship the HMS Hawke.
No one was hurt or killed in that one and the Olympic made it back to England where she signed up to serve on the Titanic. Excellent research, sir.
(my correction: only 30 died of the 1000 or so aboard the Britannica... but she nearly died in that one as her lifeboat was sucked under the sinking ship... one lucky lady!)
I was expecting a political thread. This is old and real news, not new and fake. Come on, LR! Get back with the program.

I would bring knives with me from the 1st class lounge area and use them to dig into the ice and climb up the iceberg. I would only be in the water from the time the 1st class lounge fills with water and I reach the iceberg. I would light a fire on top of the iceberg to keep warm and for a signal. I wouldn't be worried about melting the ice since it was such a big iceberg that it wouldn't be able to melt in the time it takes to get rescued
Why wouldn't you run down to the engine room and grab one of the engines.? Then you could take that with you and attach it to the iceberg. Then you could sail it all the way to New York harbour and so rescue yourself.
xD

Thanks for sharing. I'll pass for that price. I don't really have any interest to go down there.
As a musician, I learned there were a number of (5 I believe?) Steinway pianos on the ship.
Sometimes I feel my ship is sinking. Lately I haven't had much energy to run. Today I didn't sleep much. I walked to the grocery store and back. All of about 2km.
I know running is a great salvation, but lately I haven't even had the energy to do that.

I think it was pitch black darkness and they didn't see the iceberg.
It's actually been suggested that they couldn't see the iceberg due to a temperature inversion.
An area of very high pressure had settled in over the North Atlantic, resulting in the cold temperatures. A layer of warmer air in the atmosphere was above the cold air mass near the ground. This actually creates a false horizon or a mirage, due to refraction, which would have hidden the iceberg.
The theory lines up better when you consider that another ship was very close to the titanic, but reportedly never saw the ship at all.
Pretty sure someone on that ship knew a little too much. It's almost like time travelers went back in time to stop it from reaching its destination.
