This is a fascinating story. The ship was set to reach New York City. It did not.
The captain went down with the vessle.
Some Titanic stats:

Apparently only 2 baths for the enitre 3rd class.
And the ship's baker survived by boozing before jumping in the water.
The effects of alcohol on his body supressed the chilly waters. He survived for a few hours in the water before being rescued.

I don't know.. Maybe the ship makes it? Too early to tell. -
It would have been epic to be on the Titanic. I would have just swum over to the iceberg and climbed up and literally chilled until rescue. I don't get why so many people died. I would just chill in the first class lounge, drink a few beers, have some snacks and when the water reached me I would just swim to the iceberg and bring some stuff with me. I would probably carry a bag of warm blankets with me and hold it over the water. It would have sucked for a few minutes but then I would be safely on the iceberg out of the water. It would be dumb to just sit there in the water doing nothing while you start dying

I think it's possible that a German U-boat sunk the Titanic. Survivors later interviewed report hearing explosions coming from deep down into the hull and some reported seeing what looked like a surfaced submarine in the area as the ship was sinking:

It's possible a German U-Boat may have shot Kennedy, too.

Well, there was definitely room on that big wooden door. She could have fit Jack and at least one or two other people on that thing. She just lets him freeze and sink to the ocean floor. In reality, there would have been about 50 people duking it out for a spot on the door. No way that Rose would have made out like she did. She must have had a gun or something.

Is that the ship with the really good band?

A German U boat was also seen diving back into the Atlantic stuffed full of ballots!
That does it... ban U boats! -
In 1907, 5 years before the Titanic sank, the man who would become the captain of the Titanic proclaimed that the days of great maritime disasters were over. The modern design and technology of large ships were such that sinking them was nearly impossible.

Thanks for putting that story up. Just shows you can learn something new every day. -
Britannic, sister ship to Titanic, sank when it hit a German mine during WW1. Don't get on a British ship whose name ends in "nic."
-
I'm familiar with that one.

As a man, your chances of catching a life boat would have been minimal.
Many died because the ship didn't have enough lifeboats.
But I like your spirit.. perhaps you would have survived. -
I think it was pitch black darkness and they didn't see the iceberg.
