Yep, I'd go with this. 40-49 is that great transition period.

Anyone who is about 12 years older than me is really old. That rule of thumb has held up since I was five. For perspective I am always feeling young. I have always thought that by the time I reached my age that I would have all the answers and then I could consider myself old. But I still don’t and so I’m not.
Besides the physical aspects, in my opinion a sign someone isn't youthful is when they become mentally lazy. They get stuck in their ways, don't care about learning anything new, don't seek out new stimulus, will not consider any opposing views to what they believe, demiss anything they don't immediately understand, etc... In my experience most people are like that by 60.
