This has been studied to within an inch of its life. Nobody is getting COVID from walking around outside. It’s not happening. Trust the science.

People keep saying this like it matters. I don’t care if he’s a R or a D. The law is BS and he sucks.
Quit complaining- there's obviously gotta be a good reason for this. It's to re-flatten the pending curve or protecting the remaining grannies, or-well-ian in two weeks mountains of bodies if we don't or....well let me get some computer generated models from IHME and I'll get right back to you.
Then there's reality:
I have called my md multiple times
As any foreign object near my mouth causes intense gagging and vomiting
I have vomited 20-25 times since the masks became standard issue
Any cloth over my face caused this
The fing stress of this whole thing has cause my jaw to clamp down and jaw pain I tried getting several mouth guard same problem gagging vomiting
Can I still run outside?
Is this an exception? The vomiting
Being housebound is making me go stir crazy
Need clarification from mass people

What???? Get a grip or put your straight jacket back on.
I've been running with a buff all year, and pulling it up when I pass people. I think of it more as being courteous than preventing the spread of covid. Just do that; Nobody is going to enforce wearing a mask outside 100% of the time (Okay maybe if you're running in pm the Charles or some really busy area). At least it's getting chilly out now so a neck gaiter isn't so bad.
You people take the tyranny stuff too far when it's a quite simple and nonconsequential request in reality.

A mask outside when there is nobody within 6 feet ?
Charlie Baker has the mentality of a little boy trying to show how tough he is.

I live in a country where masks have been mandated since the middle of March. O and in the summer here it is routinely 110+ degrees with 60+% humidity. Deal with it.
One way of "dealing with it" is to resist or refuse to comply.

Death toll for children 2018-19 flu season = 480. Death toll attributed to COVID-19 for under 25 to date = 468. So as alarming as numbers that guys like Precious put forth (30 frontline workers under 30), they have to be put in perspective, that things like that, while tragic, occur every year (it’s a big country. 900 healthcare workers sounds like a lot, but when you consider that there are 18 million healthcare workers in the US, that represents a risk of 1 in 20,000. The reported death rate in the US among all people is 1 in 1,500. So, that would indicate that healthcare workers are over 13 times less likely to have died of COVID than the general population (likely due to lower age and access to care). I’ve known at least five doctors that had it, none of whom had much more than a mild fever.
Excellent post.

Yep! It's all in the use fear to control the population playbook. Also, report it over and over until the masses believe it over even what their own senses tell them to be true or false. Then give the masses a little freedom, and then clamp down even further and conform them even more to what you want them to do and believe.
This is a preparing the world for a global system that will dictate how we all live. CDC, WHO, big tech, and most media outlets are now on board. Most businesses too. This is the new world order Bush use to talk about. Don't matter what party you are, just who gets paid.
Only we the people saying no we won't do what you say this will stop it, IMO. But we do not have the will for a messy civil war, IMO.

Boston resident here. Before COVID, I really liked Baker. Used to think he’d make a good president. Now I can see he’s just another power-tripping tyrant in waiting. That guy can go to hell.

It’s nice to see a bipartisan dislike for tyrannical laws. Whether Republican or Democrat when a politician tries to mandate things like this both sides of the aisle should speak up against it. Our forefathers revolted against a small tea & stamp tax, largely out of principle. You think they would [take] this mandate lying down?
I mistakenly voted in California for that idiot Newsom in 2016 but he's proven to be an ignorant dictatorial murderer so I want him out of there now - and never to return.
Governments figured out a long time ago that if you sell your constituents on the idea that they're in danger the constituents will be much more likely to do what that government wants them to do. And no government willingly gives up power. Whatever this epidemic was when it began has now evolved into something else. If future historians are looking for the time when the US and other western countries moved away from the ideas of individual rights and limited government there's good chance they'll pinpoint 2020 and 2021.

We already had a widely socially accepted protocol for containing viral spread: cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough. Every kindergartener knows this. It's as effective as a mask, and far less invasive.
Being asked to cover your every breath just to make a bunch of crybaby paranoids"feel" safe is ridiculous.

Oh, my friend, please start reading more than headlines.
You don't have to follow this mask "law". If challenged in court, I bet it will be declared unconstitutional as Gov. Whitmer's "laws" were. Only the legislative branch can make and enforce laws. It is an over-reach of governors, mayors and even presidents to make laws. Only in declared emergencies does the executive branch have the authority to make laws, but the duration of this emergency authority is finite. The power grab has gone on too long. The separation of powers defined in our Constitution is a wise idea.
If the police did that in my town they would promptly get shot at the door. And then we would string them up in the streets.
