This evening in the lobby of my apartment building I was not wearing a mask, but had it around my wrist for going in the elevator, or in case I knew I would have to get close to anyone. This guy walking in screamed at me, "What's the point of the mask, dickhead?" (Perhaps I'm late to the conversation on this, but this kind of thing has not happened to me a whole lot this year).
What will it take for people not to treat each other like this, and just admit--as one other poster on here said--that it's dehumanizing to have to wear a mask everywhere you go? I am a graduate student in a large city, and living in a world where you pretty much aren't allowed to be anywhere without this overarching form of control imposed on you is just wrong.
Yeah, it's crazy. Sometimes I feel like i'm in some dystopian movie. Never would I have thought people could be so entranced. Like there's zombies walking around. It's 2020 for gods sake! You'd think people would know a little more. Put 2 and 2 together. There's so much information out there and it's so easy to communicate with others. Yes, the information we are receiving from our major information sources is a singular focus and act in unison, with no in depth analysis and no debating about the issue, but it just requires a bit of critical thinking outside of that cacophony of information pushers/salespeople. Perhaps hard to do for many since they tend to lean on what they deem the "all encompassing authority" to do their thinking for them.
But it almost seems like its done on purpose. To have one group argue with another group. The corporate state has tasted the juicy fruit of pervasive populace control. Even though it makes far less sense to be imposing controls at this time than it did 8 months ago, they may or may not let go of that easily. This could easily go on and on, in an incrementally greater form even, and if it does, I am not sure if the good people can network effectively enough to be able to wrest away control from the state. Has to get past censorship and imposed rules. Certainly not going to do this through Twitter or Facebook. Good times.

You should not have the mask around your arm. Then it gets contaminated. Keep it on and use antibacterial before you touch it
No son. Just stay home. Your social time and job aren't worth it buddy.
It is, equally powerfully:
#1: peak Trump Derangement Syndrome.
#2: incredible long-term growth opportunity for Big Tech, which (no coincidence) also control mass media distribution.
