Also, 3 million dead is a gross overestimate. At current fatality rate, it looks like about 700k is a reasonable estimate. We're well on our way to that anyway, and that's with all of the unnecessary suffering caused by lockdowns and masks.
I'll say it: I would be fine with 700k dead. It seems inevitable anyway.
LOOOOOOOOOL like 2.5x US deaths in WWII. If you're OK with that then true, anything will seem like an overreaction.
Regardless, many vaccines are in late stage trials. When we have a decent population of the country vaccinated and/or immune from infection, cases should drop and mask regs will be lifted!
I would imagine that many places will adopt the East Asian social norm of wearing a mask when you have a respiratory illness, though.
