They weren't in a car, they tend to loiter on Euclid near the Gyro George's if anyone knows where that is. Obviously wouldn't be running in a really dangerous part of east cleveland. I don't think any of these "home boys" had covid but I'm using it as an excuse to work remotely for the next 2 weeks.
Were these guys actually threatening you or just teasing and you over reacted?
I was 7 years old when my dad told me never let anyone spit on me. If you're scared at least kick him hard af in the nuts then take off. Fuk him.

My father taught me to be humble and respectful of others and to not pass judgement. Glad he wasn’t insecure with an inferiority complex like your dad.
Your options:
1. Take the high road and run on;
2. Challenge them to a 1 block sprint and when you are doubling back after gapping them by 50 meters, spit in their open and pained mouths;
3. Put one of their noses through their brain and then ask the accomplice to spit again, but twice for his friend who is no longer capable;
Please circle back tomorrow with a similar troll.
Here's an update everyone, on this morning's run I saw them again. The guy who spat on me apologized and offered me a baggy free of charge, alls well that ends well.

A male runner is nearly as vulnerable as a female. Females know better than to escalate. You told a car full of rough gents to go get a job. You brought your situation upon yourself. You were acting like a bad ass. Now you know you are not. Posters are telling you to contact law enforcement. You cannot escalate a situation, get a punch in the eye, now you want to go cry to the cops as if. If you go to cops, you are as feminine as those fellas said you are. You are going to have to testify in court. As of now, the gents do not know your name. If you make this a criminal matter, they will know your name. Do not start sh!t in the future with a car full of rough guys.
People like you is the reason runners get abused. In what other situation would you let someone give abuse and just ignore it. Give it them back with bells on

Literally this. They can be charged as terrorists, which is awesome. There is likely video evidence, too.
If you want to get away from them get a laser light to follow. Dope yourself to the gills and were cheater dragonfly's

Exactly
1.) Those guys' behavior was unacceptable.
2.) OP should not have escalated. Simply not smart -- he put himself in danger doing so.
3.) Even if you could get those guys punished, would it be worth the effort? (For me it wouldn't be.)
thats how you get shot.

On today's morning run I was going through my usual route which includes a small stretch of about 1.5 miles through a not great area in east cleveland. I am stopped at an intersection waiting for the light to change when a couple guys start heckling me about my shorts and asking my shoe size (nothing out the usual). I wasn't in the mood and told them to kick rocks and get a job, so one of them clears his throat loudly with lots of flem and just hawks one right on me. I ignored the the crossing signal and bolted away just to be safe. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what they would do, I don't want to run into these guys again.
Tell them to take their Boogaloo and shove it into their rear holes.

What dey do?
Tease him about the length of his shorts and the size of his shoes?
Anything else?
In this day of guns and shootings for absolutely no reason, please, just blow those idiots off. You want to live to run another day!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
