Where I live we aren't getting indoor track this year, which means there's a 6-month off-season (November-April) between XC and track. What should I be doing during that time to improve the most when track actually starts? Should I just do a really long base phase and build mileage until like March and then start getting more specific, or should I do workouts like I would normally if we had indoor track, or something else?
